Can I get a WOO HOO for the DEBUT of Only3Degrees on BlogTalkRadio?!?  THIS is going to be GOOD…

Only 3 Degrees, my “nearly year old” Internet Radio Show, debuted on BlogTalkRadio Thursday, December 3, 2009.

Since early 2009, I have hosted internet radio shows with ApostleRadio.org. Unlike BlogTalkRadio, which is free, to host a show with Apostle Radio, you sign a contract…fees included…to host a show.  There are pros and cons to each, but I’ll save that for an upcoming show on the benefits of Internet Radio. After having ventured into BOTH, I will have a great comparison chart to share with you…but on with the topic at hand, the DEBUT!!!

To start, I embarked upon a 12-minute, weekly commitment with Apostle Radio in the beginning of 2009. The show  quickly grew to one of the stations Top Talk Shows! (this was evident in the number of listeners as they DO have reports you can ask for with figures & numbers and stats…for those “detail-oriented” people)  And after discussing pros and cons, and various options with Ed & Sheila Tucker of Tucker Communications, I decided to give the 30-minute format a whirl. After 1 month I was hooked…and so were my guests and listeners!!! It was a God-thing that my final show aired on Thanksgiving Day 2009. I closed the series with a show on Gratitude, Thanksgiving, Forgiveness, and Truth – and even on Thanksgiving Day, we had a great number of listeners. YEA!!!

(Welcome, friends, to my new platform!!!)

Apostle Radio continues to provide a wonderful venue for those looking to reach a broad audience and/or those from the Dallas-Fort Worth area. In August 2009, they broke company records by having over 8.5 million hits that month alone!!!  Kudos to Ed & Sheila for this accomplishment.

So, why transition from ApostleRadio to BlogTalkRadio?
Well, my debut today will share a bit on that, but let me also tell you this. Drive time played a considerable factor in the decision. The commute is an hour…one-way. There is something to be said for going TO a station, sitting IN a Sound Booth, and having a REAL microphone, recording system, and more in front of you that makes the reality of a radio show seem so much more than a chat on the phone with a friend. WOW!

And a little secret you might be surprised to hear, believe it or not, I had guests NOT show up! They were booked, confirmed, but did NOT call in during their scheduled time, or did not answer their phone when we called for the interview. After the first go-round with this, I began to book “back-up guests”…yes, a PLAN B, just like in business!

I resolved I needed another alternative for continuing my show…and that is when BlogTalkRadio became the apparent option to meet my needs and that of my faithful listeners.  HOW I came to learn about “BTR” is a story in and of itself!

Tune in, go to DECEMBER 2009 to hear my DEBUT SHOW. You will hear WHY BlogTalkRadio is my new home, WHO you will meet on the show, and WHAT the focus will be for this series…it’s good stuff!!!
